Earlier this year, Hog Roast Ollerton was hired to cater for a local music festival taking place in Nottinghamshire. The festival takes place annually and includes a variety of local talents, including musicians and bands, as well as writers, artists, and more. Each year the turnout gets bigger and bigger, with 300 guests expected for 2024. Several caterers were hired for the event, including Hog Roast Ollerton. Our catering managers Darren and Claire were hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, which was sure to go down a treat!
On the day of the festival, the Hog Roast Ollerton team arrived at the venue in Nottinghamshire and began to prepare our menu on-site. We started by slow-roasting the hog, which cooked for around five hours. Once ready, the pork was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, we provided BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious veggie option. The mains were served with homemade chips, corn cobettes, and gourmet coleslaw to create a delicious and filling buffet menu. Our catering attracted plenty of customers throughout the day, with no one able to resist the sight and smell of our enticing catering station. We had more than enough to go around, including dishes for every guest to enjoy. The Hog Roast Ollerton team had a great time at the festival and it was a lot of fun to serve our catering while enjoying the entertainment.
