If there is one night that is always going to guarantee a good bit of fun it is a karaoke night. Next winners of the X Factor most of us may not be, but that will not stop any of us still screaming the best of Tom Jones or Elvis down the microphone at a karaoke night!
Fortunately, when it came to our recent customer’s karaoke night, the guests we catered our signature hog roast for were spared the tone-deaf melodies of the Hog Roast Halloughton chef team. Instead, we stuck to what we know best which is delicious roast catering for the more melodically-sound guests in attendance.
Yes, it was Pig Factor night with Hog Roast Halloughton. We had customer Harriet come to the Hog Roast Halloughton team to see if we could cater for her special karaoke birthday celebration. Harriet is a massive fan of getting on the microphone, but even more so in getting her friends and family to do the same. So, for her 42nd birthday she made sure to host a party where they would be obligated to sing – after all, it is her birthday. The Hog Roast Halloughton team were spared the same fate, although it wasn’t for a lack of attempted convincing from Harriet and the party guests, but our Hog Roast TOWN chefs pleaded their case that there was simply too much work to do for their catering still – a safe story that worked…this time.
That didn’t stop us from enjoying the rest of the karaoke fun, however. It was great to work in an environment where everyone is just throwing themselves into it and having fun. Carefree, no judgement, just great fun with friends and family! And, of course, the addition of our hog roast buffet also helped to keep the fun bursting and the karaoke going. When those vocal cords needed a quick rest, our chefs were always on hand to refresh guests with our buffet selection and a quick drinks top up.
It was an excellent evening to cater for. If Harriet chooses to do the same again next year, then maybe – maybe – the Hog Roast Halloughton chefs will be convinced to take the spotlight…
