Here at Hog Roast Loughborough, we have catered for hundreds of wedding venues. From grand cathedrals to rustic barn houses – each of them has a uniquely magical charm. Recently we had a bride and groom request catering for their wedding hosted in their very own home, and back garden under a beautiful Marquee, and of course, Hog Roast Loughborough delivered.
Our team made sure to get there early to navigate moving all of our equipment swiftly inside and setting up where the couple wanted us efficiently before the guests began spilling in. We were set up and ready by the serving time of 17:30. We served some delightful flavours that afternoon with our full alfresco menu, specially selected by the couple of course, we began with some antipasti platters with some yummy bitesize snacks. This included some rich Italian cured meats with a selection of mature cheeses served with crunchy breadsticks which went down very smoothly with the guests.
As for the mains, we brought our signature whole roasted free-range pig that was precisely cut and carved to be served as tender pulled pork and crispy crackling. We made a herby sage and onion stuffing to pair with the meat alongside a sweet apple sauce. And for the proper side, we served buttery and crispy roast potatoes.
We followed this up with two tasty dessert choices – the ever-popular sweet chocolate torte, decedent but not so much that you can’t finish it, or the “Tarte Au Citron” a tangy, creamy torte with a sour kick for those with less of a sweet tooth.
It was a beautiful day for Laura and Dan and incredible for the crew and the guests to witness.
