Hog Roast Newark – Rekindling Young Love Forty Years On

Hog Roast NewarkThey’re calling it a true storybook ending: young sweethearts lost to time and separation for forty years, only to rekindle that earlier romance and come to the happily ever after conclusion this past weekend right here in Newark. Steven and Theresa are by far our most favourite customers to have catered for in quite some time here at Hog Roast Newark. With every customer there is a story to the event, but few are quite as romantic and fairytale-like as this one of love, loss, and eventual marriage some 4 decades on.

With such a storybook event, we at Hog Roast Newark knew that we had to provide the ultimate storybook banquet to help the pair celebrate their loving matrimony right here at the stunning Newark Town Hall. Our catering managers, Darren and Claire, fortunately knew the answer right away: a colourful, extravagant grazing table accompanied by the smoky, spicy, and meaty flavours of our delicious southern slow roast. For a fairytale wedding you want guests to immediately be wowed when they enter into the venue. Our colourfully arranged antipasti grazing table provides that exact moment. With the deep reds of our fresh prosciuttos, salami slices, Parma hams alongside the vibrant greens of our salads, and the lovely yellows and whites of our Italian cheeses, it’s the kind of presentation worthy of kicking off such a special story and event.

Hog Roast NewarkEvery good opening act deserves a strong follow up, and our southern slow roast is just the statement needed for such an event. Steven and Theresa opted for our BBQ pork butt, Texas style beef brisket, and well marinated pork ribs. With all of the flavour and spice present in these meaty mains, it’s great to have something creamy and cooling as an accompaniment. Our leafy greens, creamy Memphis style coleslaw, and our roasted baby new potatoes worked a treat here.

The Hog Roast Newark team were so privileged to be able to join in such a wonderful love story and wedding day. We wish Theresa and Steve all the best for the future – not that they are going to need it with how their inspiring story has already played out!
