The Christmas period is hectic for a caterer, so much so that the Hog Roast Sutton-in-Ashfield were not even able to get to all of our customers over December. We do our best throughout the year to accommodate all of Christmas guests, provided they get to us early enough, but even then, with venue dates and availability, there can be some that have to get pushed to January at the earliest.
Not to worry, however, because the phrase better late than never has never been more applicable than this past week when Hog Roast Sutton-in-Ashfield head chefs, Darren and Claire, provided festive catering for the belated Christmas celebrations of the Baumhaus Ltd team.
Even when late, a little bit of Christmas magic was still found circling around the Mansfield Hosiery Mills Sports and Social Club as Darren, Claire, and the Hog Roast Sutton-in-Ashfield team arrived to cater for our 50 guests. The social club was looking excellent when we arrived. All it was missing was a live band, an open bar, and our 50 wonderful Baumhaus guests to really make it a party.
Thankfully, all of those things did eventually arrive in the evening, by which time our signature hog roast was cooked and ready to go! Served along with our usual sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, apple sauce, and accompanied by added gourmet sausages, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, herb dressed new potatoes, mixed salads, slaws, and gluten free rolls, it was a perfect feast to go along with a perfect atmosphere.
You wouldn’t have known it was a late Christmas celebration at all. The magic of the festive season was still very much alive in the room. The live band provided an excellent atmosphere to the evening, and the guests were equal to them. It took everything in Darren not to head up to the dancefloor – the live band were just that good! – while the open bar added a tonne of extra merriment to the party of 50, who all were very gracious with us and were certainly up for a laugh – just as any Christmas party should be!
