Earlier this month the Hog Roast Nottingham team had the privilege of coming out to the Malin Bridge Inn – a mainstay of the Sheffield local community – to cater for a very special business event with the fine structural engineering team at Ekspan.
From that first sentence alone you know that this event had just about everything going for it. For one, we were with a brilliant corporate client who came to us knowing our well-earned reputation amongst corporate caterers. For decades we at Hog Roast Nottingham have provided valued dining services to businesses both big and small, local and global. A dining experience with us is assured to achieve whatever you need of it for your staff events, client meetings, product launches, conferences, etc.
The second part of the event that is hugely exciting is that we were catering our special gourmet barbecue range. A must have this summer (indeed, any summer!), the Hog Roast Nottingham gourmet barbecue range delivers all of your British summer staples with some added gourmet twists. We’re talking handmade burgers and sausages; we’re talking spiced kebabs, marinated ribs; we’re even talking our signature hog roast for even more tender and comforting meatiness! The Ekspan team enjoyed a selection of our burgers, sausages, and Thai chicken kebabs, along with veggie alternatives of vegetarian burgers and sausages. Throw in our chef’s own pasta salad, fried onions and cheese, homemade gourmet coleslaw, and a good helping of regular and sweet potato fries, and the Ekspan team had a barbecue selection for the ages!
But that’s not all that made this event so special. As we said, we were hosting at the famed Malin Bridge Inn in Sheffield. Talking to the owners and staff there, we came to learn that it has been a generational pub of 53 years with the same family tending to it over those many decades. It has been such an integral part of local community for half a century. That is exactly the kind of venue and story we love to be a part of. Plus, their outdoor beer garden provided the perfect spot for the Hog Roast Nottingham team to set up and barbecue all evening long!
