If you were out and about in Sheffield this past weekend then you may have spotted the Kelhand Island Museum looked a lot busier than usual. That is because the incredible museum was hosting its own wedding fair, wherein the museum invited out vendors to showcase their wedding services, while potential wedding goers could browse the selection and also see what Kelhand Island Museum also looked like as a venue. Your Hog Roast Retford team were also in attendance handing out tasty samples and meeting with guests to chat about potential upcoming events and weddings.
As a caterer, wedding fairs like this one are excellent opportunities. It’s always nice for the Hog Roast Retford team to have a switch up to their day every now and then and get to go out to a site where the work looks slightly different. Instead of ensuring that the day runs perfectly and having to match up to the demand of a caterer, we can instead let a little more loose and instead have fun amongst a bustling crowd of both vendors like us, and guests.
These fairs also allow us to work with some incredible venues. Museums such as Kelhand are truly unique sites, so being able to also book them out for your own wedding or even business or private event looks like a must if you can. We as a catering team and wedding server are privileged to be invited out by folks like those at Kelhand. It shows a certain level of confidence in our reputation and services that a venue like that would want us showcasing with them. Plus, it is also just a massive privilege and delight to get to meet so many locals from in and around the city! So many came out to see us at Kelhand, and we loved meeting every single one of you.
