Hog Roast Huddersfield ended April on a high note by helping our clients, Samantha and Robbie, enjoy their dream wedding at the Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre nearby.
Located on the banks of the UK’s longest canal, this unique venue is a hot spot for contemporary weddings, which was just what Samantha and Robbie had wanted for their big day. After tying the knot, the couple and their wedding party enjoyed a 30-minute canal boat journey, which provided the perfect opportunity for the photographer to capture some incredible photos.
When they finally stepped off the boat, hungry and ready to kickstart the festivities, the group was greeted by the aromas of our mouth-watering food – Hog Roast Huddersfield had spent all afternoon preparing our Wedding Menu 2 for the occasion!
As the guests made their way into the dining area, they were first offered a selection of canapes by our serving staff, comprising Scottish smoked salmon, chicken satay skewers, roasted halloumi & tomato crostini and pan-seared fillet of beef. These bitesize snacks were the perfect prelude to the main course, which was even more of a crowd-pleaser!
Free to choose from our namesake hog roast with sage and onion stuffing, applesauce and crackling; whole roasted sirloin of English beef with Yorkshire puddings and rich red wine gravy; grilled vegetable skewers, or BBQ pulled jackfruit, there was something on the menu for everyone, which the guests very much appreciated.
Everyone raved about the delicious food, and many indulged in extra helpings since there was so much food available. Samantha and Robbie were especially thrilled with Hog Roast Huddersfield’s service, and couldn’t have asked for more. They were so thankful to our catering managers, Darren and Claire, for going above and beyond to ensure the wedding was a huge success.
The happy couple and their guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of food, drink, and dancing, and the Hog Roast Huddersfield catering team played a huge part in making it all happen.
