Despite the sunshine’s appearance becoming few, Davina still decided on a garden party for her 30th. Not wanting the hassle of having to sort food and drinks out for her family and friends she rang Hog Roast Rossington to sort it. Of course, catering manager James obliged!
The evening was cosy and intimate with 40 friends and family joining Davina to celebrate. The celebrations kicked off at 4pm with two of Hog Roast Rossington’s bar staff ready and waiting to serve the guests a multitude of different drinks. The bar staff ensured that everyone had a drink throughout the night.
By the 6pm serve time, the guests were hungry and therefore grateful for Hog Roast Rossington’s delicious spread. Davina had chosen the classic and delicious Hog Roast accompanied by three flavoursome salads and a mixture of both original and sweet potato fries. To guarantee a crisp exterior and fluffy interior, the fries are cooked on site. The guests enjoyed a simple yet pleasurable mixed salad, homemade crunchy coleslaw with a hint of lemon zest and Italian favourite tomato and mozzarella, where the creamiest buffalo mozzarella and sweetest on the vine cherry tomatoes are used, then topped with fresh basil leaves. Hog Roast Rossington stayed open serving guests across a two-hour window so that any late comers would be able to enjoy a hot meal. Despite guests enjoying seconds, there was still some pig left over. Catering manager James made up a handful of rolls so that they could all continue to nibble on them through the night. The rest of the meat was tubbed up, cooled down and then popped in Davina’s fridge for Sunday roast the next day. Davina even had the two pig’s ears for her adorable two golden retrievers, Layla and Lucy. Layla and Lucy happened to have been first in the queue.
As it wasn’t Davina’s birthday until the following Tuesday, Hog Roast Rossington’s team hope Davina and an enjoyable evening celebrating and had a wonderful time on her actual birthday!
