The festive period is a special time for many, but here at Hog Roast Flintham we reckon we have one of the more extraordinary experiences since we work together as a family caterer. Christmas is for family and love and sharing. Being a caterer already makes us a part of a lot of those things, especially around the festive period when our roast dining services come in high demand for family events and celebrations between friends and colleagues. But we ourselves are also a family that work and run our own business together, making the Christmas period all the more rewarding as we get to stick together and produce so many memories both for ourselves, but also for our guests.
Even if it is one of the more hectic periods on our calendar, we at Hog Roast Flintham are able to get through it all the better because we have family members by our sides. Sure, there may be squabbles as there always are in any family (and Hog Roast Flintham is certainly no different), but it is so immensely rewarding to get to come into work together each and every day over Christmas knowing that we’ll be producing something special for others all together. Christmas is a time when a lot of families may see each other for the first time in the year, or have overseas members make their rare return for a couple of days. We have the fortune of being together all year round – Ste, Lillie, Molly, even granddaughter and Hog Roast Flintham chef-in-waiting Ayda from time to time – as we work events right through the year. That doesn’t change at Christmas either; the days only become more numerous and the work much busier, but it all works out because we know that we can each rely on each other to get it done. Plus, come the 25th, we’ll take our due break and just enjoy our own roast cooking for ourselves for once!
