Saturday night was psychic night at one of our local watering holes, and thanks to the pub owner, Michelle, Hog Roast Maplebeck was invited along to join in the fun!
Before getting in touch with our team of culinary wizards, Michelle had sold out of all 80 tickets for her event, which meant she was in desperate need of an inclusive menu that was tasty enough to impress each and every one of her guests. We were delighted that she trusted us enough to deliver such a feast, and after talking with our catering manager, James, about her goals for the night, she decided that our Southern Slow Roast Menu would be perfect – and we couldn’t agree more!
So, on Saturday afternoon, Hog Roast Maplebeck made the short journey to the venue. In the hours leading up to our arrival, Michelle had already been hard at work transforming the beer garden into a mystical psychic den. The tables were decorated with dark velvet coverings, and fairy lights were strung from the pergola beams above. She had even set the mood with purple and red lighting.
So as not to detract from the event, our caterers set up our equipment at the back corner of the venue, where they spent the following hours grilling the pre-marinated meats and rustling up refreshing salads and hearty sides. Before too long, the guests arrived at the venue, which smelled strongly of our gorgeously fragrant food.
The guests quickly formed a line at the buffet table, where they had their choice of BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chicken or BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls, with sides of gourmet coleslaw, mixed fries and a creamy potato salad.
After piling their plates with a generous amount of tasty grub, the ticket holders found their seats and waited for the psychic show to begin! After the show, the guests had the chance to return to the buffet table for extra helpings, have one-on-one tarot readings with the professional psychic and have their energy’s read with crystals. It was a really fun experience for everyone involved, including Hog Roast Maplebeck!
