Hog Roast Bulwell Served A Memorable Meal At A Pearl Wedding Anniversary Party

It was Donny and Jaqueline’s 30th wedding anniversary on Sunday, and as a celebratory surprise, their children, Lisa, Sam, and Max, had rented out a function hall in a nearby hotel, where they had invited the couple’s closest family, friends and neighbours to help them observe the monumental occasion. Not only that, but they had also booked Hog Roast Bulwell’s catering team to serve up one of our tasty menus for everyone to enjoy at the party!

From the get-go, our team was really excited to assist with this event. Hey, what can we say? We love, love! So, our catering manager, James, immediately began recommending different ideas in order to discover the client’s preferences. Finding the perfect menu took a little bit of time, as the trio explained they had some vegans to cater for as well as some fussy eaters, but we got there in the end.

Hog Roast Bulwell With some added custom choices, everyone was in agreement that Hog Roast Bulwell’s Southern Slow Roast Menu was perfectly suited to the occasion since it offers a selection of three meat choices and a meatless dish, plus four delicious sides. So, on this occasion, the menu consisted of Cajun spiced whole roast chickens, pulled quarter of minted lamb, BBQ pork butt and vegan pulled jackfruit rolls with a rainbow ‘slaw dressing, paired with mixed sweet potato and regular fries, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, Greek salad and mac and cheese. As an added extra, Lisa, Sam and Max had asked us to prepare a charcuterie board of nibbles for each table, which presented a choice of cold cut meats, cheese and artisan breads, as well as nuts, crackers and crisps.

Preparing the meal took James and the Hog Roast Bulwell team all afternoon, but the clients couldn’t have been more pleased with the results – and nor could their parents! When Donny and Jaqueline arrived at the venue, they didn’t know what had hit them at first. But after the shock of being greeted by everyone they knew, and a beautifully fragrant buffet of sensational food choices, wore off,  they were so happy and grateful for the effort Lisa, Sam and Max had put into making their pearl anniversary a success.
