The owner of the pub recently contacted our catering manager James to discuss the potential of providing catering at the weekend to accompany the sports. The Hog Roast Darlton team thought that this would be a great way to introduce new customers to the pub and to create an event out of the sports matches! After discussing our menus, it was decided that our Gourmet BBQ would be an ideal choice, since it is so commonly associated with watching sports games and would be a perfect accompaniment.
On the day of the match, the Hog Roast Darlton team arrived in the afternoon to prepare for the mealtime. The food was being served between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, so the food needed to stay fresh and tasty throughout this period. To begin with, we prepared the main dishes, including sausages, British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, halloumi and vegetable skewers, and BBQ spareribs. This is an incredibly versatile menu, with plenty of main dishes for everyone to choose from. The mains are served with a variety of sides, including homemade chips, crunchy coleslaw, fresh salad dishes, and corn cobettes. Overall, this created a great menu that went down a treat with the guests, since the buffet style made it so easy to grab some tasty dishes and enjoy them while watching the TV.
