If you are from the area, you’ll no doubt know all about Kelham Island. It is where one of the last remaining actively working steam engines is held, and each day you can get a brilliant show of it working in practice! But that is not all that Kelham island Museum; with such excellent brickwork grounds held over from when it was a working steelwork, the historic site is also available to hire for your own events, such as weddings.
It might not seem immediately obvious that this option is available, which is why the folks behind Kelham Island Museum decided to host their own wedding fayre. For one, guests are invited to come and view the venue as it may look during their own event, and secondly they get the brilliant opportunity to meet and chat with many of the wedding vendors that Kelham Island recommends or even partners with regularly. Hog Roast Kelham’s wedding catering was one such service that they recommended, meaning our team got to come out to the excellent venue a few weeks ago and set up shop to meet so many wonderful guests that came on by.
To make our table all the more inviting (even though our lovely looking Hog Roast Kelham team are already welcoming enough alone) we made sure to spruce up our booth with all the colour and tasty vibrancy of our antipasti platters. Guests that came to chat were more than welcome to have a nibble at our fresh, finely sliced meat and cheeses, or scoop it all up with our artisanal breads.
The whole Hog Roast Kelham team came away from the event beaming. It was such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was excellent, guests were all very friendly and had plenty of fun and interesting stories to tell of their upcoming wedding, and the venue itself is just incredible to be in. For those that couldn’t make it our couldn’t quite get the opportunity to chat to us, please do send us a message and let us get to planning your special day soon – though we can’t guarantee any free antipasti platters for that chat, unfortunately
