Here at Hog Roast Holmewood, we understand the importance of family gathering. They always manifest unforgettable memories and bring relatives even closer together – especially when it’s a birthday. Birthday parties remind us that we should treasure the time that we have with our families, the ones you were born with and the family you have made along the way – both deserve to the celebrated. And with Hog Roast Holmewood, we can guarantee an incredible get together.
Just recently, we catered for lovely Lynda and Chris. It was Chris’s 65th birthday and they had set up an incredible and intimate party. The cozy vibe and ambient nostalgia from the families’ laughter were just unbeatable. We set up our stall right by them with a beautiful lakeside backdrop which was more than perfect for this kind of celebration.
Lynda and Chris opted for our set Menu 3, this includes our classic whole roasted hog, carved precisely and served as tender pulled pork in soft bread rolls. Cloudy new potatoes with a buttery, herby dressing and a triples salad selection – a mouthwatering variety… but guests of course had to save some room for dessert, because what as a birthday party without cake?
There was the option of cream filled, chocolatey profiteroles and a tangy cheesecake. And with our buffet-style serving guests could grad as much or as little as they liked, trying both desserts or none, there were still more then enough to go around.
The only unfortunate aspect was the wind; we were surprised that everything stayed on the tables! Yet still, the rain stayed out of sight so that Chris could keep that joyful smile on his face and still enjoy the warm sunny day by the lake without the worry of wet mud.
Oue team at Hog Roast Holmewood adored Lynda, Chris and family and we are all very hopeful that we will see you all again for the next big milestone. And one last big Happy 65th birthday to Chris. Happy Birthday!
