Kirsty is welcoming her first baby later this year and her best friend planned a beautiful baby shower to celebrate the occasion. The event was being hosted as a way for Kirsty to catch up with her friends and family before the arrival of the baby, with party games, gifts, and a delicious buffet from Hog Roast Maltby. For the catering, we were hired to serve a delicious lunch for the 30 guests to enjoy, followed by a dessert course with plenty of different options for the guests to choose from. The event was set to take place at a local function room which had been beautifully decorated by Kirsty’s friends to make sure that it looked wonderful for the party!
On the day of the baby shower, the Hog Roast Maltby team arrived at the function room in the morning, giving us plenty of time to prepare the menu on site. The function room looked beautiful and there was plenty of space for our team to set up our serving station. We began by roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Once ready, the sliced pork was served in fresh bread rolls, accompanied by homemade chips and seasonal salad dishes.
Following the main meal, we also provided a variety of desserts, with guests choosing from profiteroles, sticky toffee pudding, summer pudding, and chocolate torte. Each of the options was served with English cream and fresh berries to create a delicious final course!
