This January, Hog Roast Alfreton catered for a very belated Christmas party hosted by the South Normanton Holiday Inn. The company was extremely busy throughout the festive period hosting parties for other people, so they weren’t able to celebrate for themselves. Instead of missing out, Callum organised an ‘Octoberfest’ party for 100 guests to enjoy at their venue, with a live band, karaoke, dancing, and plenty of drinks! Alongside the entertainment, Hog Roast Alfreton was hired to cater for the occasion with our delicious classic hog-roast menu, alongside a selection of tasty sides.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Alfreton team arrived at the venue in the afternoon, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the 19:30 serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection on-site, before being expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative. For meat-free guests, we also provided grilled vegetables and halloumi skewers. The mains were accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. We served the menu on disposable plates, allowing the guests to enjoy the menu while making the most of the party. Our catering went down a treat, with plenty of people returning for seconds. The event was a huge success, with lederhosen and beer wenches galore!
