Hog Roast Jacksdale Handled A Memorable Autumnal Wedding

While summer weddings may steal the spotlight with their warm temperatures and clear skies, there’s a different kind of magic that accompanies autumnal weddings. Lovebirds, Lara and Michael proved this when they fearlessly chose to host their outdoor wedding last, and with the help of our dedicated team at Hog Roast Jacksdale, it turned out to be an unforgettable day.

Set against the rustic backdrop of rural Nottinghamshire, a tranquil country house nestled amidst acres of rambling woodlands provided the perfect setting for the couple’s special day. With 120 guests in attendance, the couple exchanged their vows outdoors, surrounded by a carpet of rust-coloured leaves.

Meanwhile, the Hog Roast Jacksdale team, led by catering managers Darren and Claire, worked diligently to prepare a feast that would leave a lasting impression. The spread began with a selection of five mouth-watering canapés, including handmade gourmet sausages, beer-battered mini fish and chips, mini quiches, mini pizzas, and an enticing Indian selection. These delectable bites were served with glasses of champagne or fresh fruit juice as guests arrived.

Hog Roast JacksdaleFor the main course, guests were invited to choose between a traditional hog roast with all the trimmings, whole-roasted free-range turkey with sage butter, stuffing and cranberry sauce, or, for the vegan guests, BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls. These delightful dishes were accompanied by freshly made salads, coleslaw, and buttered new potatoes, which added depth of flavour to the meal.

To shield guests from the occasional chilly gusts of wind, marquee tents were set up, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere adorned with string lights and autumnal decor, adding to the romantic ambience of the day.

The grand finale of the banquet featured sticky toffee pudding and individual cheesecakes served with fresh cream and fruits. Lara and Michael’s personalised touch included a tea and coffee buffet with mints, along with hot chocolate for the little ones, ensuring that every guest’s comfort was prioritised.

As the day drew to a close, Hog Roast Jacksdale sliced the wedding cake and served it to guests before discreetly clearing away the remnants and tidying up, leaving the couple and their loved ones to revel in the memories created.

With the help of Hog Roast Jacksdale, Lara and Michael crafted a day that was nothing short of a fairy tale, proving that autumn weddings are indeed something truly special.
